A Military Mind



From the City of Los Angeles all the way to Germany, Mr. K.I.D. has made a name for himself that others can not match. His lyrics reflect the joy and pains of life in a way the average person can understand. From tracks like "I Wish" to " New Breed" this artist shows diversity which can only be understood by listening to his music from start to finish.

This could be one of the few artists these days that has more slashes in his title than the average written lyrics do. Not only does he display his lyrical talent in 'rapping', he also sings, produces, arranges, mixes, and writes his own lyrics. These are talents that he show and proves in every record that he produces. His dedication to music is as deep and vast as the coast of California from which he came.

His dedication to music began at the age of 6, directing the choir and playing drums in a local church he attended. His understanding of music then expanded as time expanded. By the age of 12, he had already developed an ear for singing, piano and trombone playing, which began coinciding with his poetry and lyric writing. While time proves hard work, this artist would definately be considered an artist ahead of his own.

Mr. K.I.D., like many other people, has been through a great deal of situations which formed him into who he is presently. He's endured the heat of Iraq, then came back to find his career that he worked so hard on was slowly coming to an end. Not only was he betrayed by his producer and dj, his military career also was cause for strain. After all, he continued to prove his critics and non believers as false. He developed a work ethic which can only be compared to the late artist, 'Tupac Shakur,' in which he sets goals of 5 tracks per day. In 4 years, Mr. K.I.D. has over 1200 tracks recorded, which in today's standards would be phenomonal. Needless to say, this artist is all about business. Whether it's; producing a beat, writing a song, performing, designing for his own clothing line, or conversating to the people, this artist always gives 110 percent.
With his love for music, Mr K.I.D. hopes to be able to bring certain social issues into the spotlight, as well as promoting unity and understanding. Mr. K.I.D. is living proof that no book, nor person, should be judged by their cover.
